High School Involvment
During my time in high school, I was part of a small graduating class consisting of only 12 people. However, I was significantly involved in various activities within the school. I served on the student council for four years, two of which I held the position of council member. Later, I became the treasurer and vice president. Additionally, I played basketball for two years and filmed and edited content for the theater department. I also held the position of head editor for our yearbook. Through my hard work, I was able to graduate with an impressive 4.08 GPA.

Small School Enviroment
In the public school system, I was told I would fail and I'd grow up to be nothing. Not only did students tell me this but my teachers, principal, and counselor told me this. I could barely read, I could not write to save my life. My parents felt that the public school system was not for me. I was diagnosed with severe dyslexia and ADHD. My parent founded Fortune Academy, a small school for people with learning-based disabilities. I succeded at Fortune. The teachers believed in me, they walked me through reading, writing, independence, and success. Fortune gave me a chance to become a success.

Planning Events
During my time at Fortune, I was actively involved in the student council and organized numerous events. Some of the biggest events I organized were the lower school winter party, high school prom, and a candy cane fundraiser. My team and I worked tirelessly to ensure that these events were fun and unique. We wanted to create something different, something that hadn't been done before at our school. One of my most memorable events was a Late Night Get Together for high school students. The event took place at the school and featured music, a fire pit, food, and a movie. It was an absolute blast.

Editing The Yearbook
Editing our school yearbook during the times of Covid-19 was an interesting experience. As the editor, I faced a challenge of creating a book that usually showcases school events and fun while everyone was fully online. However, we managed to pull through and created a great book. In 2021, I continued to edit the yearbook while remaining online, while some students went back to school. During that time, I was given photos of events that took place around the school, which I used to create the book.

They Said I Would Fail
Despite many people believing that I would never succeed in school, I proved them wrong. I worked hard and managed to graduate from high school, and even pursued higher education by attending college. I am extremely proud of myself for overcoming the challenges that came my way. I was not expected to achieve the level of success that I have attained today, but I did it. I am a resilient and determined individual who never gives up, and I refuse to let anyone bring me down. I do not let my disabilities hinder me from achieving my goals.
